The Assignment Process
Following the drafts decision to use AIMS International
(Singapore) the way in which we will conduct the assignment
is as follows:
- A Proposal giving the description of the Company,
the responsibilities and objectives of the job
and the profile of the ideal candidate is prepared
for your approval, authorizing us to proceed when
signed.
- The timetable for the search is indicated.
- The search process will commence, following your
authorization and payment. Target companies will
be examined, using any prior information provided
by company together with sources of information
and prospective candidates already known to us,
augmented with original research team. In all cases,
our enquiries are carried out discreetly and your
identity is not disclosed.
- After approximately 30 days, we will commence
a regular dialogue with you to keep you apprised
of the results emerging. This will ensure that
the progress of the search is known to you, and
establish a picture of the prospective candidates
emerging. Because of the nature of a search assignment,
it is important for AIMS International (Singapore)
to work closely with you and to refocus our efforts
based on feedback from you. We understand that
this position requires immediate attention and
that it is important to work as diligently as possible.
We have agreed that company will grant an exclusive
agency relationship to AIMS International (Singapore)
to perform this search assignment. All candidates
regardless of their source will be qualified and
screened by AIMS International (Singapore)
- The interview process the follows, from which
eventually a short-list of some three to six candidates
will emerge, and you should anticipate seeing this
list some four to six weeks after commencement.
Candidates are presented by means of written “Executive
Profiles” describing in depth their personal
and professional backgrounds, job experience and
achievements, reasons for moves, interest in the
position and our evaluation.
- You will then decide which candidates you wish
to interview and in what order. This needs careful
attention in order to maintain the momentum of
the assignment and to retain the candidates’ interest.
- From here a final candidate should emerge, around
week six to week eight although this might be accelerated
if you are able to move swiftly after the initial
candidate meetings. After an offer has been made,
we can carry out formal reference checking if required,
and the results are communicated, to you in written
form. It should be noted that part of our initial
evaluation process involves informal reference
checking which is carried out without the knowledge
of the candidate.
- Finally, if the appointee resigns within 6 months
from the employment commencement date, AIMS International
(Singapore) will re-open the search and make every
effort to find a replacement acceptable to the
client without any additional service fee, but
excluding out-of-pocket expenses.
